Handheld BDP - SPMark Symbian
SPMark – the Symbian platform benchmark
SPMark for Symbian OS v9, released in July 2004 as SPMark04, was the first benchmark to emerge from our Handheld BDP. In addition to real-time OpenGL ES rendering tests, SPMark for Symbian OS v9 tests include battery, 2D JPEG encoding, image scaling, calendar, contacts and disk access. SPMark has become widely used within the industry, the media, as well as by tens of thousands of consumers who have downloaded the benchmark from Futuremark’s servers.

"Increasingly, consumers are choosing phones with cool graphics. Symbian is working with the industry to enable mobile handset manufacturers to use the latest and greatest graphics acceleration technology. Futuremark's 3DMarkMobile06 is the first standards based benchmark available that enables the whole industry to evaluate the performance of new hardware with the real-world content that will be appearing on phones"
