Windows 8 Benchmarks and PC Tests

The new 3DMark includes everything you need for benchmarking with Windows 8 and Windows RT. With three all new tests you can bench everything from tablets to notebooks to desktop PCs, from lightweight Direct3D feature level 9 mobile devices up to high-end DirectX 11 gaming PCs.

PCMark 7 v1.4.0 is compatible with Windows 8, however, benchmark scores are affected by the changes in this update. You should not compare scores from PCMark 7 v1.4.0 with any previous version. For the complete list of changes, please read the PCMark 7 v1.4.0 release notes.

Powermark v1.2.0 is compatible with Windows 8 and already includes a compatible version of SystemInfo in the installer. Powermark is a battery life test and power consumption benchmark for professional testing labs. It is designed for testing Windows 7 and Windows 8 laptops, notebooks, ultrabooks and other battery powered devices.

3DMark 11 v1.0.5 is compatible with Windows 8. 3DMark 11 is a DirectX 11 video card benchmark with three presents ranging from Entry to Extreme. 3DMark 11 is designed to test the gaming performance of different types of PC from lightweight notebooks to high-end desktops.

3DMark Vantage v1.1.2 is compatible with Windows 8. Though 3DMark Vantage was originally designed for testing DirectX 10 powered gaming PCs, we now recommend using the new 3DMark Cloud Gate benchmark to test the latest PCs and devices with DirectX 10 compatible graphics hardware.

3DMark06 is compatible with Windows 8 when using the latest SystemInfo component, however with modern hardware we recommend using the new 3DMark, which has three tests covering a wide range of hardware from DirectX 9 compatible tablets to DirectX 11 powered gaming PCs.
