3DMark Approved Drivers

The drivers listed on this page are the only drivers approved to be used with Build 3.6.0 of 3DMarkŪ03 and Build 1.2.0 of 3DMarkŪ05. By using the listed drivers and correct product versions, you will get a valid and fully comparable 3DMark result. We will update the driver information continuously as new WHQL certified drivers are reviewed. Please note that the approved drivers listed below have been tested only with the 3DMark03 and 3DMark05 default benchmark settings!
Note: If you are to use any Anisotropic Filtering or AntiAliasing, please set the driver settings to "Application" and use the AF and AA settings from within 3DMark.

3DMark06 Approved Drivers Reviewed and Approved ATI Drivers We have inspected all offical ATI WHQL drivers through December 24th, 2005. Listed below are the latest official drivers that have been approved for 3DMark06 Build 1.0.2 usage:  Catalyst 5.13 Drivers - WinXP Notes: The ATI Catalyst 5.13 Drivers have been tested with the Radeon X1000, Xx00, 9x00 Series and comply with Futuremark's Guidelines. Reviewed and Approved NVIDIA Drivers We have inspected all offical NVIDIA WHQL drivers through December 24th, 2005. Listed below are the latest official drivers that have been approved for 3DMark06 Build 1.0.2 usage:  ForceWare 81.98 Drivers - WinXP Notes: The NVIDIA Forceware 81.98 Drivers have been tested with the GeForceFX, GeForce 6 and GeForce 7 Series and comply with Futuremark's Guidelines. 3DMark03 Reviewed and Approved ATI Drivers We have inspected all offical ATI WHQL drivers through December 1st, 2005. Listed below are the latest official drivers that have been approved for 3DMark03 3.6.0 usage:  Catalyst 5.11 Drivers - WinXP  Catalyst 5.11 Drivers - Win2000  Catalyst 4.3 Drivers - WinME Notes: The ATI Catalyst 3.9 - 5.11 Drivers have been tested with the X1x00, X800 Series, 9x00 series and 8x00 series. Microsoft no longer accepts certification submissions for the WinME operating system. The Catalyst 4.3 Driver is the latest WHQL WinME Driver for the Radeon Series. Update July 26th, 2004: Upon ATI's request, we have removed our approval for the Catalyst 4.7 drivers (Win2000 & WinXP) due to the issues in 3DMark03 GameTest3. ATI has posted information about the issue here. Reviewed and Approved Matrox Parhelia Drivers We have inspected all offical Matrox WHQL drivers through December 9th, 2003. Listed below are the latest official drivers that have been approved for 3DMark03 3.6.0 usage:  1.04.02.007 Drivers - WinXP  1.04.02.007 Drivers - Win2000 Notes: The Matrox 1.04.02.007 Drivers have been tested with the Parhelia series. There are no WHQL Win9x or WinME drivers available. Reviewed and Approved NVIDIA Drivers We have inspected all offical NVIDIA WHQL drivers through December 9th, 2005. Listed below are the latest official drivers that have been approved for 3DMark03 3.6.0 usage: GeForce6 and GeForce7 Series:  ForceWare 81.95 Drivers - WinXP  ForceWare 81.95 Drivers - Win2000 GeForceFX Series:  ForceWare 52.16 Drivers - WinXP  ForceWare 52.16 Drivers - Win2000 Notes: The NVIDIA ForceWare 52.16 Drivers have been tested with the GeForce3 series, GeForce4 series and the GeForceFX series. The Forceware 52.16-81.95 drivers have a generic optimization which only affects the Pixel Shader 2.0 feature test. While the optimization is not 3DMark specific, it is against Futuremark's driver optimization guidelines, thus making the PS2.0 feature test score solely comparable between NVIDIA cards. The NVIDIA Forceware 66.93, 71.84, 71.89, 77.72, 81.85 and 81.95 Drivers have been tested with the GeForce6 Series and comply with Futuremark's Guidelines. The NVIDIA Forceware 77.72, 81.85 and 81.95 Drivers have been tested with the GeForce6 and GeForce7 Series and comply with Futuremark's Guidelines. Reviewed and Approved SiS Xabre Drivers We have inspected all offical SiS Xabre WHQL drivers through December 9th, 2003. Listed below are the latest official drivers that have been approved for 3DMark03 3.6.0 usage:  Xabre 3.10 Drivers - WinXP  Xabre 3.10 Drivers - Win2000  Xabre 3.10 Drivers - WinME Notes: The SiS Xabre 3.10 Drivers have been tested with the Xabre series. The resulting image is not comparable to the Reference Rasterizer, but the drivers seem to follow the Optimization Guidelines.

3DMark05 Reviewed and Approved ATI Drivers We have inspected all offical ATI WHQL drivers through December 1st, 2005. Listed below are the latest official drivers that have been approved for 3DMark05 Build 1.2.0 usage:  Catalyst 5.11 Drivers - WinXP  Catalyst 5.11 Drivers - Win2000 Notes: The BETA Catalyst 8.07 Drivers were approved for the launch previews of 3DMark05 only, and thus are not approved in the ORB. The ATI Catalyst 4.9 - 5.11 Drivers have been tested with the X1x00, X800 Series and 9x00 Series. Reviewed and Approved NVIDIA Drivers We have inspected all offical NVIDIA WHQL drivers through December 9th, 2005. Listed below are the latest official drivers that have been approved for 3DMark05 Build 1.2.0 usage:  ForceWare 81.95 Drivers - WinXP  ForceWare 81.95 Drivers - Win2000 Notes: The NVIDIA Forceware 71.89, 81.85 and 81.95 Drivers have been tested with the GeForce 6 and GeForce FX Series and comply with Futuremark's Guidelines. The NVIDIA Forceware 77.72, 81.85 and 81.95 Drivers have been tested with the GeForce 7, GeForce 6, and GeForce FX Series and comply with Futuremark's Guidelines. Update 20th April 2005: The Forceware 66.93 drivers have been re-reviewed and discussed with NVIDIA based on the drivers' application detection mechanism with SLI configurations and application profiles for 3DMark. It has been mutually decided that their approval will be canceled. Forceware 71.89, 77.72, 81.85 or 81.95 drivers are recommended for all 3DMark testing on SLI configurations.
