The Games Domain has thrown up a preview on Lionhead Studios' upcoming RTS/RPG, Black & White 2, which includes quotes from James Leach and Peter Molyneux. Here's a clipping:

"We wanted B&W2 to be a huge-scale battle of men, creatures and gods," Leach explained. "There was quite a lot of conflict in Black & White, but when tribes are at each other's throats, of course they're going to fight. We realised that religion doesn't stop wars. In fact, it could be said to have started most of them. So we wanted to up the pace, bring in new technologies and have a level of excitement which only imminent battle for victory or extinction can create."
