HomeLAN has thrown up some beta impressions on Turbine Entertainment's upcoming massively multiplayer online RPG, Asheron's Call 2. Here's a clipping:

This was the first chance we had to see a bunch of players go up against monsters in Asheron's Call 2 and to say we were impressed is an understatement. Battles were fast and furious against the monster invaders and even with the graphic details turned all the way up slowdowns in the game were minimal on my 2.2 Ghz Pentium IV and GeForce 3 Ti 500 system. We were also impressed that the changes in the game world only took a mimimal amount of patching to occur. It's clear that Turbine and Micrsoft plan to keep players very busy with their storyline updates.
