The RPG Vault has kicked up a review on Turbine Entertainment's recently released massively multiplayer online RPG, Asheron's Call 2: Fallen Kings. Is it worth your hard earned cash? Read on:

The crafting system in Asheron's Call 2 is similarly open-ended in that every character in the game can create any item. Everyone starts out with nominal ratings for each type (every object falls within a category such as Human footwear or Tumerok robes). Early on, this can be rather helpful since appropriate equipment can be hard to come by, but as a character advances, it will need either to spend considerable time improving its crafting abilities to create appropriately powerful equipment, or far more likely, seek out other players who have specialized in various types. Learning advanced crafting skills is challenging as a player generally needs the right source materials (which can be hard to find), good tools (which must also be made), and be near an appropriate and fully powered forge (easy to find, but not so easy to charge up).
