Age Of Mythology: The Titans Preview

The folks over at HomeLAN have thrown up short a preview on Ensemble Studios' upcoming Age Of Mythology expansion, The Titans. Here's some juice:

The Atlanteans as a race are rather easy to play with, particularly since they simply gather their needed resources of food, wood and gold without any need to actually drop them off at a building to gather them. Units for the race range from the simple infantry, archer and cavalry units to vehicles like the Fire Siphon (a big fire breathing siege unit) and their own mythological characters like the Promethean (a large unit that splits into two units after being attacked) and the Necrid (a powerful water based unit). One of the cool things about the Atlantean race is that most of the units, even the lowly resource gathering villager, can be turned rather easily into “hero” units which of course increases their effectiveness in their job.
