HomeLAN has kicked up a preview on the multiplayer portion of Massive Entertainment’s upcoming strategy title, Ground Control 2. Here's a clipping:

Massive is thankfully keeping the items that attracted game critics to the original game for the sequel. Again, there is no resource building or structures in the game but rather you drop in your armies, vehicles and equipment via a drop ship. The human Northern Star Alliance and the alien Virons are the two sides available in the multiplayer test. Humans have a number of infantry units from the regular grunts to the snipers that have a cloaking effect. Vehicles include armored transports, tanks and other heavy machinery. Even your drop ships can be upgraded to carry more loads, become faster, and have more armor among other upgrades. There are also emplacement guns that you can put down to protect your territories.
