PC.IGN has slapped up some impressions on Monolith's upcoming first person shooter, F.E.A.R., after getting a chance to check this bad boy out hands-on. Here's a taste:
While the pacing of the story and silent scary moments lend to the overall mood of the game in general, the action is anything but slow. When enemies start coming for you, it's a non-stop blast fest of fun. Monolith decided to go for balls out action John Woo style, complete with slow motion moments, millions of bullets flying every which way, and debris cluttering up the airspace after the fight is done. They've done an excellent job with this. It's really something else to get in a quick exchange of fire with an enemy group only to have dust, paper, and other little bits floating in front of your face obstructing vision.
