It finally looks like manufacturers are finding different ways to cool the beastly 8800GTX from nVIDIA! We heard about the TEC cooled one from Sparkle and now we have the water cooled one from ASUS. What is really impressive are the clock speeds; the ASUS boasting 630Mhz GPU core over 575Mhz for stock and 1030Mhz for memory over the 900Mhz for stock!
Bjorn3d are the lucky people to have this card for testing, but will the ASUS sink or swim? Here is a little of what they had to say:
"There is a lot to like about this video card. The ASUS EN8800GTX AquaTank makes it easy to use liquid cooling on the GPU without having to mess with a separate cooling system. It is cooled very well and it is overclocked from the start. Also, it comes with an excellent bundle. Unfortunately, there is a lot not to like about this video card."
As great as the ASUS is, it does have a few downsides, price being one of the most prominent. The you also have the amount of space it takes up, which will definitely be an issue if you want to venture in SLI waters.Still, it's an amazing piece of technology that pushes an already fearsome card up a few notches to give it a nice edge over the other pre-overclocked graphics cards out there. Have a look at the full review and see how amazing this card and bundle really is.
