Arguably, the nForce 650i is currently the best bang-for-the-buck chipset for Intel processors. While it lacks a few features from the nForce 680i, the price difference more than makes up for it. PC Perspective has posted a review of the EVGA nForce 650i Ultra motherboard.
Lets see what they had to say:
This newest chipset from NVIDIA aims to take the 600-series features to an even lower price segment including the ~$100 motherboards. The 650i Ultra chipset has only a single PCIe x16 connection, and thus leaves SLI behind and is only usable or single graphics card configurations. But the rest of the board is very competitive with the 680i chipsets and I am sure many financially responsible readers will be interested in our results.
While this particular board looks rather plain, the performance of the chipset should be rather evident. The Evga lifetime warranty is pretty impressive too!
