In one way or another, Thermaltake has always been an innovator when it comes to heatsink design. Those of you who have been around long enough will surely remember the ground-breaking Golden Orb coolers. Well today, Hi-Tech Reviews has just posted a review of the very unique Thermaltake V1 heatsink.
Lets see what they had to say:
The Thermaltake V1 is the real deal, it has the dynamite good looks and the performance to go along with it, top that off with a great price and ease of installation. (One word of advice if you going to install this on a LGA 775 motherboard please install the heatsink prior to installing the motherboard).
I bet if you buy one of these heatsinks your wife will even agree that it was a great investment since you no longer have a noisy computer. Check one out you will not regret your decision.
While this coolers performance is satisfactory, the real problem is its price. At $58 USD, its in the same price range as the Thermalright Ultra-120, which is a vastly superior heatsink, and can also be used in quiet applications.
