Although this cooler has been on the market for some time now, the Zalman CNPS9700 LED remains a solid performer, and is extremely stylish. Gideontech has just reviewed the aforementioned cooler, despite its age is it still worthy of consideration?
Heres what they had to say:
The Zalman cooler's full loads temps being in the low 40 degree range make this a great heat sink for over clocking the system. It gives you more room for cooling with the ability to slow down or speed up the fan. I think the mounting bracket is better than the push pins type. The only thing to note with the pins is to push them all the way in.
Yes, there are better and cheaper coolers. However, for the style-conscious crowd with case windows, this product is definitely worth a look. In my opinion, it would look particularly cool combined with a motherboard with an elaborate copper heatpipe, such as the Asus P5K Deluxe or Gigabyte P35-DQ6.
