Personally, Ive never really understood the need for a fancy mousepad, or gaming surface as they are called, however I know many gamers who swear by them. BenchmarkReviews has just posted a review of the RatPadz XT and GS mousepads. Are they worth your hard-earned money?
Heres what they had to say:
In conclusion, the RatPadz GS and XT Mousing Surface both offer excellent mousing surface solutions. My recommendation is to spend just a little more and purchase the XT, but both versions are very similar in performance. The rugged durability will prove more valuable than anything else, and the raised-pebble design offers far less friction than other surfaces.
As mentioned earlier, Im no authority on gaming surfaces. In fact, I use a nearly 20 year old mousepad from a Macintosh Classic, circa 1990. Having said that, even I know that RatPadz is among the most well respected brand of gaming-oriented mousepads. Therefore, it is no surprise to see that they have manufactured two high quality products. Im even tempted to give the XT a try
