XYZ Computing has posted a review of the new Viewsonic VX2835wm LCD monitor. Sporting 27.5-inches of viewable area, 1920x1200 resolution, and 5ms response time, the specs are certainly impressive.
Lets see what they had to say:
There is a lot to love about the VX2835wm. Foremost is the price- it is currently selling for $669 (at NewEgg) which is downright reasonable given the prices of the competition (Dell's 2707WFP is currently at $1199). Second is the size- 27.5" is a lot of viewable space and it really lets you take advantage of the 1920x1200 resolution (even if it isn't 28").
A 28-inch LCD monitor for less than $700, whats not to like?! I suspect that many people who were considering buying a 24 model will now have to reconsider. Having said that, since this is a new product, I recommend that you wait for some additional reviews to show up, just to ensure that the image quality is consistent across multiple units.
