Today, NVIDIA launched the GeForce 9600GT, and Legion Hardware has just reviewed the Inno3D GeForce 9600GT OC Edition graphics card.
Heres what they had to say:
The GeForce 9600 GT looks to be the graphics card that GeForce 7600/7900 owners have been waiting for. Unlike the 8600 GTS, the 9600 GT is capable of delivering highly playable performance in all recently released games, as well as those that are becoming out dated. The performance at 1920x1200 was impressive to say the least, as we were very happy to see an average frame rate of 80fps in Unreal Tournament 3. Overall we have been amazed by the level of performance that has been delivered by the Inno3D Overclocked GeForce 9600 GT graphics card and we are very keen to check out the i-Chill edition of this product.
NVIDIA has released another highly capable mainstream GPU, and at a $169-189 price point, it will undoubtedly become a top seller. AMD has reacted very quickly to this new release by cutting the price of its Radeon HD 3800 series graphics cards.
