Hardware Canucks and PC Perspective have reviewed the new BFG GeForce 8800 GT OCX and 9600 GT OCX ThermoIntelligence graphics cards.
Lets see what they had to say:
- Hardware Canucks:
In the past BFG has only kept the best of the best in terms of overclocked performance for their OCX line and with these two cards reviewed here today we see that tradition continuing into the current generation. Both the 9600GT OCX and the 8800GT OCX offer up some very, very impressive performance numbers which are fully backed up by BFGs lifetime warranty. Lets be honest though; these cards are not for those of you who usually overclock your graphics card yourself. Rather, they are geared towards consumers who want the best possible performance straight out of the box without having to worry about voiding their warranty by overclocking or installing an aftermarket heatsink. In this area, the new OCX Thermointelligence cards rack up some serious points in their favor since they perfectly fit into the niche they were meant to be released into.

- PC Perspective:
Though they might seem outdated we have to say that both the BFG GeForce 8800 GT and 9600 GT OCX ThermoIntelligence graphics cards have some life left them, just as we proved in our recent 9600 GT roundup article. It is true that there are a BUNCH of graphics options huddled around the $150-$250 price mark now and that could make your decision a bit more clouded than wed like but it really comes down to your exact budget and performance desires. BFG has put both the 8800 GT and 9600 GT OCX TI cards in a very good position with pricing but I would definitely lean towards the 8800 GT OCX model as being the best value in our comparison; that's a lot of extra performance for just $10.

Featuring improved cooling solutions and very high clock speeds, the OCX ThermoIntelligence product line is quite impressive. However, BFG is a little bit late to the game, especially now that everyones attention has been directed towards the Radeon HD 4850.
