PureOverclock and TechwareLabs have reviewed the high-performance Crucial M225 128GB solid state drive.
Let's see what they had to say:
- PureOverclock:
"The M225 posts some very impressive performance results across the board, has the ability to update the firmware, will very soon offer a Performance Restore utility, offers a 5 year warranty that is better than most manufacturers, and is very well priced for what you get in return as it's one of the least expensive Indilinx-based SSDs on the market. We have to admit, that is a very compelling combination for consumers. Crucial has done a excellent job with the M225 SSD, keeping a lower price without sacrificing any performance in the process. If you're looking for a very fast SSD at a very competitive price, then we highly recommend the Crucial M225."

- TechwareLabs:
"While there may not be much difference between this drive and the OCZ Vertex or the Super Talent UltraDrive, it doesn't stop the Crucial M225 from being the fastest drive we've reviewed to date. By waiting until the market matured, Crucial was able to undercut the competition on price and make it one of the cheapest Indilinx based drives around. The drive can be found for around $320. The only downside if you plan on using it as an upgrade for your desktop, is that it doesn't come with any sort of mounting adapter for 3.5" bays. You will need to procure one from somewhere, or have a case that can support them. Otherwise the drive is just a slap in upgrade for notebooks."
