HardwareHeaven and TweakTown have reviewed the surprisingly affordable Cooler Master 690 II Advanced mid-tower case.

Let's see what they had to say:

  • HardwareHeaven:

"The Cooler Master 690 II Advanced is a decent all-round case that looks good and is built well. The only slight drawback in the case’s construction is its heavy weight due to the use of steel throughout.

The 690 II is also a very well featured case, comparable with much more expensive chassis. Cooler Master have integrated almost everything we could ask for from plentiful front panel connections, an entirely black-painted interior and tool-less access to both hard drives and optical drives. One other attractive feature of the case is the water-cooling potential; aside from the two external water-cooling holes in the rear, there is also space for dual radiators in both the top and bottom of the case, if we remove some of the hard drive bays.

In terms of value, the 690 II is also impressive, retailing at a mere £90. This makes it one of the best-featured sub-£100 cases out there and is sure to appeal to a wide range of users."

  • TweakTown:

"In today’s economy $100 doesn’t get you very far. Dinner and a movie with your significant other, a night out with friends, one hundred lottery tickets, or in this case, one feature rich chassis that will satisfy even the toughest of customers. The CM 690 II Advanced is just a complete package, that even under my personal scrutiny really has not one thing out of place or any thoughts of cooling solutions overlooked. As you know, I am a fan of black; it cools the components well as-is and things can only get better. I really don’t see how you could go wrong, even if you don’t have plans on water cooling. With free shipping currently and listing at $89.99 at Newegg and being the same price, relatively, as the non-Advanced model, I bet there will be a lot of mid tower users adding this Cooler Master chassis to their cart."

At $99, this is among the best Bang for the Buck cases on the market. It might not stun you with its beauty, but it is a very well designed product.
