BCCHardware, Benchmark Reviews, Bona Fide Reviews, Funky Kit, KitGuru, ocaholic, and PC Perspective have reviewed various gaming headsets from Arctic Sound, ASUS, Genius, Plantronics, Psyko, Sharkoon, Steelseries, and Urbanears.
Let's see what they had to say:
- BCCHardware: Urbanears Medis Headset / Earphones Review:
"The Urbanears Medis have a lot promise and their unique design is worth noting and giving a try. Unfortunately, they didnt fit my ears very well and this made the overall audio experience less than satisfying. They were very comfortable, but they certainly wouldnt be my first choice for a general multi-purpose earphone/headset."

- Benchmark Reviews: Genius HS-03U USB Gaming Headset Review:
"The performance of the HS-03U was for the most part pleasurable. The sound quality was good, the volume and other controls worked well, and the microphone quality was good. The vibration featured worked really well, and it was very enjoyable to use. There were a few hiccups with the sound here and there, however. Having a very loud screeching noise played in your ear is not usually a pleasant experience, but is likely something that can be remedied easily.
The appearance of the Genius HS-03U is very appealing. I enjoy the all-black colors and the lime green accents.
The construction quality of the HS-03U seems good. Being that it is plastic, there may be some cause for concern if you drop them or tend to throw your headsets if you are angry. I like that the microphone boom is made from rubber, as it seems like it would be durable."

- Bona Fide Reviews: Psyko 5.1 PC Gaming Headset Review:
"The Psyko Audio 5.1 Gaming Headset is the best gaming headset money can buy Im sure. Ive tested many headsets over the years from many companies, none quite costing this much, but they havent come close to the sound quality offered by these.
These are most certainly aimed at the enthusiast market segment, and those who are professional are just very serious about their gaming. The price point will put these out of range of a lot of people, $300 is just not something the average persons is going to spend on a headset.
Then again, why not spend $300 on a gaming headset that offers the best sound quality youll ever hear."

- Funky Kit: Headset Battle Review: Steelseries 7H vs Sharkoon RHS200:
"There's no question, the Steelseries 7H Pro is the better of the two headsets in this review. But you have to remember, each headset is aimed and targeted at different markets. The Steelseries 7H is aimed at the more professional gamer and the higher-end market. And for this reason, there is usually a price premium to pay ... but what do do you get for your money?
Well for starters, the build quality is excellent. The headset can be dismantled in 4 separate pieces, which allows for compact and easy transportation. Each of the components is made from god quality materials, and feels solid and well-made. You also get detachable braided cables, gold-plated audio jacks/connectors, as well as a 2 spare ear cups."

- KitGuru: Arctic Sound P531 5.1 Surround-Sound Gaming Headset Review:
"The P531 may be Arctics first attempt at a gaming headset but you certainly wouldnt know it! Sound quality is up there with the best and the surround-sound and vibration unit really transform the overall gaming experience.
I also appreciate the versatility of the P531; not only is it great for gaming, it provides a great movie experience and is also well-suited to music playback. My first port of call when testing movie playback is the opening sequence of The Dark Knight and I was so taken aback by the experience I actually ended up watching the entire film.
In fact, the only area in which the P531 lacks at all is in design and build it isnt the most attractive headset weve tested. It may not ooze refinement like one of SteelSeries headsets but the build-quality is more than acceptable for the price."

- ocaholic: ASUS CineVibe Gaming Headset Review:
"The ASUS CineVibe is actually quite a good gaming headset but especially the vibration functionality is able to conjure some kind of a moronic smile onto your face of which you wont be able to get rid of as long as you watch a good action movie or something similar.
Regarding comfort the CineVibe fits perfectly on ones head. The top bail is nicely bolstered and even after hours of gaming it feels like you have almost nothing on your head. Thanks to the nicely cushioned ear pads which fit more or less exactly onto one ears also wearer of glasses will enjoy the CineVibes as very comfortable."

- PC Perspective: Plantronics GameCom 777 Surround Sound Gaming Headset Review:
"The overall performance of the Plantronics GameCom 777 surround sound headphones varied fairly widely from game to game during our performance testing. While the bass overpowered us in Bad Company 2, it seemed to be just enough during Call of Duty Modern Warfare. The directional sound wasn't as precise in any of our FPS games as it was during our Psyko 5.1 headphone testing, but it wouldn't be fair to pit an $80 pair of headphones against one that's worth $300. With that said, the synthetic surround sound did it's best to help me find where the sound was coming from if I was hearing bullets wizzing by or airstrikes raining down from the sky."
