PureOverclock have posted a review of the new highly overclocked Palit GeForce GTX 460 1GB Sonic Platinum graphics card.
Let's see what they had to say:
"Palit is a board partner that's known for pushing the boundaries on Nvidia's reference graphics cards, whether it's a custom heatsink, improved power distribution, more compact form, or factory overclock. And true to form, the GTX 460 Sonic Platinum has most of these features. It has a snazzy heatsink, comes in a very compact 7.5" length, and has a huge factory overclock out of the box. It is the 800MHz core and 1000MHz memory overclocks that are the hallmarks of this card, as these are extremely impressive. For users that aren't into GPU overclocking, the Sonic Platinum is the most aggressive performance GTX 460 we've seen on the market."
This is the fastest GeForce GTX 460 on the market right now, followed closely by the MSI N460GTX Hawk. The Palit Sonic Platinum carries a mere $20 premium over reference GTX 460's, so it is easy to recommend.
