HardwareHeaven and KitGuru have posted a reviews of the Enermax Revolution 85+ 920W and 1020W power supplies.

    "The Revolution 85+ breaks from the current market trend of using a single 12v rail with high rating, instead giving us four with 35A on each and it is hard to fault this approach when we look at the majority of the unit's performance. Stability is excellent, the 3.3v, 5v and 12v readings remain strong throughout and efficiency is also good, so good in fact it nearly hits the level required for 80Plus Gold certification. Temperatures always remain impressive and the Revolution, thanks to its Twister Bearing fan, has one of the lowest noise levels around.

    That brings us to value. Enermax were keen to point out to us that the latest Revolution 85+ models are priced lower than the versions they replace. At $229 the 920w model is in a very competitive market segment however it does have the free fan worth $15 and a 5-year warranty to add value."

    "We have always rated Enermax Revolution 85+ power supplies highly and the new 1020W gives us no reason to rethink our standing. Unit efficiency is high and only at the top 10% of power output does it drop a little, to around 87% under full load.

    Build quality has always been a strong point with Enermax power supplies and this 1020W model is as good as we have seen in this regard. We love the Revolution 85+ finish as it is hard to mark and doesn’t attract fingerprints or scuffing on any level."

The Revolution 85+ is a proven, reliable, extremely high performance PSU series that is easy to recommend. Having said that, the Corsair AX850 is a bit better than the Enermax unit.
