As expected, NVIDIA's latest mainstream low-cost Fermi-based graphics card has launched today. This new GPU, dubbed GeForce GTS 450, is based on the new GF106 core and features 192 shader processors, 16 ROPs, and 32 TMUs. Cut-down specs aside, what really differentiates this new model from the other Fermi-based products is the low 106W TDP and equally low $129 price tag.

This is a great little card for the budget conscious, but it's a little late when compared to AMD's mainstream DirectX 11-compatible HD 5700 series. Also, if you can scrounge together a bit more money the $169 GeForce GTX 460 768MB is definitely a better buy.
