OCIA and Tweaknews have posted a review of the new Thermaltake Armor A60, a reasonably-priced mid-tower case with many of the features that you would expect from a higher-end enclosure.

Here's what they had to say:

  • OCIA:

"The Thermaltake ARMOR A60 is an interesting case. They are clearly trying to be innovative and push new features out to the market in a stylish case. There are some things that just really puzzled me about the case though. The mix of the newer tool-less design with the traditional tools required design was a little odd. Without a PSU I would have expected a few more fans for $89, even with the USB 3.0 port. Lastly, the door operation of the SideClick EasySwap 3.5” bay just bothered me. It was working as designed, but it seems to me a door should be closed except for adding or removing the drive tray."

  • Tweaknews:

"The Armor A60, like the A90 chassis from Thermaltake proves itself to be a bit of a mixed bag, but most of the bag was good. There is room for lots of hardware in the A60, with three big bays and six HDD mounts be they 3.5- or 2.5-inch. The “SideClick” feature will also be a draw for some users. It is lightweight but sturdy and relatively easy to work in. The cooling was great and the look, in my opinion, is very appealing.

On the other hand, there are very limited cable management features and the HDD caddies are a bit of a mixed bag, requiring screws in one side to secure the drives. I like the front panel attachment solution, and the front panel elements are well executed."

Aside from the so-so HDD caddies, this is a terrific case for the money.
