Modders-Inc and PureOverclock have posted a review of the ASUS P7H55D-M EVO, a Micro-ATX Intel H55-based LGA1156 motherboard that is designed for the new Clarkdale Core i3 & Core i5 processors.

Let's see what they had to say:

  • Modders-Inc:

"It will also have no problems catering to the overclockers wanting to squeeze the maximum performance out of the system. The P7H55D-M Evo is loaded with tweaking utilities and offers just about every option one needs in the BIOS. Asus has truly made things as simple as possible with the P7H55D-M Evo. With this beast going for around $120, how could any one go wrong building a system with it?"

  • PureOverclock:

"In terms of value, the P7H55D-M EVO is priced around $120 USD, which is an excellent price for what you get here. It's a solid motherboard for those who want some of the the latest technology at an affordable price. With great connectivity options available, an HTPC setup is certainly a strong option. While the H55 chipset isn't a barnburner, it does the job. If you choose to drop in a budget discrete card, along with a Core i3 530, for example, then you can put together a fine little media box on the cheap. Or you could put in a better graphics card and CPU and this little board can certainly handle the additional horsepower without issue.

If you need a capable all-around smallform motherboard that offers some good features and is capable of being pushed quite far, then the ASUS P7H55D-M EVO is a very good option to consider."

This is an excellent well-rounded motherboard, and all the user reviews that I have read so far have been exceedingly positive.
