Hardware Secrets, LanOC, Madshrimps, PureOverclock, and t-break have reviewed several NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 1GB graphics cards from ECS, Gigabyte, Inno3D, Palit, and PNY.
Let's see what they had to say:
- Hardware Secrets: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 Video Card Review:
"We were truly impressed by the new GeForce GTS 450. From the eight games and simulations we ran, the GTS 450 only lost to its main competitor, the Radeon HD 5750, in one (Metro 2033). In all others it was either faster or achieved the same performance level.
The improvement in PhysX performance compared to the previous generation mid-range video card from NVIDIA, the GeForce GTS 250, was also impressive (43% improvement as measured by Darkest of Days)."

- LanOC: Gigabyte GTS 450 1Gb:
"After spending a little time with Nvidias newest DirectX 11 card I have been pleasantly surprised. Anyone who is looking for a video card to run on their 22 inch or less monitor will be impressed with the performance of the GTS450, specifically Gigabytes slightly overclocked version. If you are hoping to use this to run higher resolutions you should be fine as long as you avoid running the highest settings on a few of the most demanding games. Games like Modern Warfare 2 will still play flawlessly. Falling in at a low low price of $130, this card should be in range of just about anyone. Another great solution is pairing two of these up for great SLI performance at around the same cost as one GTX460 1Gb."

- Madshrimps: Inno3D GeForce GTS 450 iChill Video Card Review:
"Like other manufacturers, InnoVISION has decided not to use the reference clock speeds, but to overclock it a little bit; the cooling system from Arctic Cooling does an excellent job keeping temperatures down in both IDLE and Full Load tests. This usually means that overclocking the card is not an issue, at least when looking at the temperatures.
Regarding the card performance, it stayed close to the XFX Radeon HD 5770, overall trailing the competition, rarely beating it. Only when overclocked, it can win over the 5770, but this will add extra heat and power consumption. Other reviewers have also tested GTS 450 SLI configurations and it seems the cards scale very well, being very close to a single GTX 470, at a lower price and a lower power consumption."

- PureOverclock: Palit GeForce GTS 450 Sonic Platinum 1GB:
"Palit is a board partner that's known for pushing the boundaries on Nvidia's reference graphics cards, whether it's a custom heatsink, improved power distribution, more compact form, or factory overclock. And true to form, the GTS 450 Sonic Platinum does most of those, It has a snazzy heatsink, comes in a very compact 7.5" length, and has a huge factory overclock out of the box. It is the 930MHz core and 1000MHz memory overclocks that are the most impressive features of this card, as these really help set this card apart from the rest of the competition.
Of course, that massive factory overclock comes with a bit of a premium price though. Costing about $135 USD for the Sonic Platinum, it's only $5 more than the reference speed card, and we think this is an excellent deal for what you get in return, about a 13% performance boost."

- PureOverclock: PNY GeForce GTS 450 1GB:
"Really, the only issue we can find is that this card is capable of much higher clocks but it's hitting the shelves pretty much as a stock card. PNY has gone with a reference cooler and PCB design, which is fine, but since it's not highly overclocked, there isn't too much to distinguish it against the competition. It's not standing out in a crowd, so to speak. But also keep in mind that if you are looking for a dedicated PhysX card for your high-end SLI setup, then this card is a slam dunk.
That being said, it bring some great features, performance, and overclocking potential. Factor in that the PNY GTS 450 1GB runs cool and quiet, and offers great value for gamers on a modest budget, and that leaves us with a great graphics card."

- t-break: ECS Black GTX 450 Review:
"That said, the ECS Black GTS 450 is still a great card for its price. While its dimensions suggest a rather powerful card underneath, this baby wont hurt your wallet as much as it will your computer casing; the card takes up 3 PCI slots just like the GTX 460. Still, ECS has a very strong contender for the budget conscious gamer."
