PC Perspective and PureOverclock have reviewed the brand new MSI GeForce GTX 460 Hawk, a highly customized pre-overclocked graphics card with an upgraded cooler.

Here's what they had to say:

  • PC Perspective:

"The MSI GeForce GTX 460 HAWK is one of the best GF104 cards we have seen and thanks to a complement of overclocking hardware and software features, a high quality board design, custom cooler and overclocked frequencies this is one graphics card that should get any budget PC gamers' attention."

  • PureOverclock:

"MSI is a board partner that's known for pushing the boundaries on Nvidia's reference graphics cards, whether it's a custom heatsink, improved quality components, or a factory overclock. And true to form, the GTX 460 HAWK does most of those, It has a snazzy heatsink, Hi-C capacitors and solid state chokes, and comes with a strong factory overclock out of the box. And for users that aren't into GPU overclocking, the HAWK is one of the highest performance GTX 460 cards we've seen on the market. Perhaps even more impressive is the cooling efficiency of the heatsink, again one of the best we've seen. And the aesthetics are fabulous, as this is certainly the best looking GTX 460 out there. Notice a trend here?"

For $250, this card is a no-brainer, especially if you manage to achieve a 1Ghz GPU core clock, which quite a few people already have.
