TechREACTION have reviewed the Patriot Convoy 425XL, a 3.5" HDD RAID enclosure that holds four 2.5" SAS/SATA hard drives.

Let's see what they had to say:

"Overall, the Convoy 425XL does exactly what it intends to do. It brings hot swap RAID to desktop PCs regardless of the controller that it is attached to. The design is an attractive one that blends well with a black PC case. The small fans used for keeping the drives cool are surprisingly quiet, and have a decent pressure rating thanks to their thickness. The feature set is impressive, offering enterprise-type functionality at a consumer-level price."


To be honest, I don't really see the point of this product's RAID capabilities, but it might be useful for those who need to swap 2.5" HDDs often.
