Today, NVIDIA's highly anticipated dual-GPU 'Fermi' graphics card has been officially unveiled in the form of the GeForce GTX 590. This ultra-high-end model features two fully-fledged GeForce GTX 580 GPUs with a total of 1024 shaders and a 3GB 2x384-bit 3414Mhz GDDR5 memory interface. This card's GPU and shader clock speeds have been reduced 27% when compared to a regular GTX 580, but that was a necessary concession in order to keep power consumption numbers in check. Unexpectedly, NVIDIA have managed to make the GTX 590 super quiet and cool running thanks to a surprisingly thin yet capable cooling system. Price wise this new models comes in at a lofty $699, same as the competing Radeon HD 6990.

Enjoy!
