Madshrimps and Rbmods have posted a review of Patriot's new G2 Series DDR3-1600 4GB memory kit, which features 9-9-9-24 timings @ 1.65V and a low ~$70 price tag.
Here's what they had to say:
- Madshrimps:
"The G2 Series memory modules from Patriot Memory come with low profile heatsinks, so they won't interfere if we want to install large and high performance air coolers.
In terms of performance they can be also overclocked a little by reaching 1866MHz at the 9-10-9-24 timings, fully stable. Also, it is impressive that they can be ran at much lower voltages: they are rated 1.65V but are stable at the stock speed at 1.5V, and the 1866MHz overclocked speed needs only a very small voltage bump, at 1.515V; of course, these small details can differ from one platform to another, depending on the quality of the memory chips, but also the IMC."

- Rbmods:
"In our AMD test setup they worked fine and even competed with the more expensive G.SKILL Ripjaws modules in tests. Performance was good and we managed to overclock them a bit without too much of a hassle. Priced around 60 they are a bit more expensive than basic ddr3 modules, but they also give more overclocking headroom and lower latencies. Is it worth to spend extra 25 for these modules over the basic 1333MHz ones then? If you are a basic home-user and do not require overclocking or the most highend performance, then buy the basic ones however if you are enthusiest and want to overclock a bit and squeeze the last bits out from your computer, then these might be just the compromise modules you want!"
