KitGuru, techPowerUp, and TechSpot have reviewed the new Corsair Obsidian 650D mid-tower case.
Let's see what they had to say:
- KitGuru:
"Even though the Obsidian 650D is essentially a smaller version of the top-end 800D case, we think it is a very impressive case in its own right. It offers everything we look for in a case at this price point.
We cant think of a case that weve reviewed that has a better internal design than the Obsidian 650D, except perhaps the Graphite 600T which is virtually identical inside. All of the cable routing holes are exactly where they need to be and are filled with high quality rubber grommets that arent going to fall out after poking a cable through."

- techPowerUp:
"The extra features, looks and quality give the Obsidian 650D plenty of unique aspects, while the shared use of the case internals should keep the price lower. For anyone eying with a 700D or 800D, but wanting something smaller, the Obsidian 650D is it. Let me repeat myself: it will be interesting to see, if Corsair ever chooses to bring out a sub 100 USD chassis in the future, but regardless of that - the new Obsidian 650D is a logical step in the right direction to diversify their high-end line-up of cases and can easily follow in the footsteps of its bigger brethren as well as other case manufacturers out there. The only downside is the small difference in price between the Graphite 600T and the Obsidian 650D, which may mean that Corsair is cannibalizing its own market."

- TechSpot:
"It's fair to say that the Obsidian 650D is a high quality case in all respects. Its subtle styling is very attractive, its installation and thermal performance are commendable and it has all the trappings your average enthusiast might demand in a chassis. Unfortunately, at $190 it's not a great value proposition, and so we have a hard time believing the 650D is aimed at the average enthusiast. Here's hoping Corsair will cut the price a little which could have deserved it our editor's award."
