Funky Kit, Rbmods, and ThinkComputers have posted a review of the Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 Pro CPU cooler.
Here's what they had to say:
- Funky Kit:
"The verdict on the Arctic Freezer 13 Pro CPU cooler is simple: It's a damn good heatsink.
Not only does it have an innovative mosfet/northbridge fan built in, it is quiet, easy to install, not sharp, comes with fantastic thermal paste, gives plenty of room for ram and sells for a very good price.
In an ideal world the front face of the heatsink would have a bow to it to allow air to get to the spots behind the fan, and it's been found that jagged edges in that area also help airflow a little bit."

- Rbmods:
"Retail product comes with all you need. Installation was extra easy and fast, it is compatible with all CPU sockets, the price is reasonable.
During our testing we reached a maximum power of over 170 W when the CPU was heavily overclocked at 1,392 V. As the product is declared to be designed to cool the 300 W overclocked CPUs it has a lot of additional capacity, we can only recommend it to a wide range of users.
ARCTICs Freezer 13 Pro is undoubtedly a way to go if you are a computer enthusiast and/or overclocker in search of best price/value CPU cooler with 300 W of cooling capacity for your new build."

- ThinkComputers:
"Overall the Freezer 13 Pro is fairly simple to install, but there can be some clearance issues with this basic installation procedure. Theres only one way to install the cooler, at least for an AMD setup, of which most times can become a problem due to clearance issues with the motherboard. This is the first CPU cooler that I have seen that utilizes a base fan, which I really think is a great idea and should be adopted by more manufacturers.
The Freezer 13 Pro has an MSRP of $54.90, but it can be easily found online for less than $40, making it a decent CPU cooler. ThinkComputers would like to award the Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 Pro CPU cooler an 8 out of 10 score."
