APH Networks, KitGuru, and Rbmods have posted a review of the new Thermaltake eSPORTS Shock Spin gaming headset, which features a seperate microphone which you clip onto your shirt.
Let's see what they had to say:
- APH Networks:
"Now that I am writing the conclusion, I feel fairly stupid about the introduction I already wrote, which you should have already read. Priced at $74.99 USD MSRP at press time, can the Tt eSPORTS Shock Spin compare to other audiophile headphones? Well, no, but let us take into account the fact t hat it was never meant to be. It is designed for gaming, and in turn, the Shock Spin really flexes its muscles in the league it belongs to. The engineers have tweaked the speakers to allow lower frequencies and higher frequencies alike to be more in-tuned with sounds produced during first person shooters. As well, the treble and the middle ranged frequencies are very clear and crisp. This combined with excellent soundscaping provides accurate pinpointing of where your enemies are located."

- KitGuru:
"Overall we have mixed feelings about the TT eSPORTS Shock Spin HD gaming headset. We are quite impressed by the sound quality of the headset which is excellent when gaming, watching movies and playing most varieties of music. When using the USB sound card, the sound panning ability of the headset is improved and there is a significant boost in volume over the standard PC output. The headset is also very lightweight and comfortable which makes for a pleasurable gaming experience.
But there are a number of drawbacks with this product. We are somewhat underwhelmed by the build quality and the plastics feel very cheap."

- Rbmods:
"It is always hard to write a conclusion when it comes to headphones or a headset, so what do I think? Well at this price range you get headphones that are fairly decent, pay another 30 or 40$ and you get to a completely different level of headphones. I think that the headphones lack a bit on sound quality but they are very comfortable and light weight so it depends on what you are looking for.
The sound quality is good enough for everyday usage and probably for most people but I have reviewed so many headphones so im quite picky these days."
