techPowerUp and TechREACTION have posted a review of the brand new Thermaltake Chaser MK-I full tower case.

Here's what they had to say:

  • techPowerUp:

"The Chaser MK-1 happens to be a case which can easily hold its own against many of the popular cases on the market. Great build quality, incredibly detailed looks and a long list of functional and useful features make the Chaser MK-1 a no brainer. In fact, the looks are probably the one thing you have to fall in love with first, as the features are the cherry on the cake to really put a smile on your face.

That said, Thermaltake needs to take the momentum and offer an affordable version as well, which manages to deliver most of the features and design aspects in a smaller chassis at the magical price point of 99 US Dollars as something like that would address the mass market perfectly. Regardless, the Chaser MK-1 is a cool looking case with inner value which are just as great - well done Thermaltake."

  • TechREACTION:

"Now that we are finished with the Chaser MK-I, we must admit we were surprised at how well it actually did in our testing. Thermaltake made the sky blue color work, using the subtle accents throughout the case. Now, if you are not a huge fan of that particular hue (or have a thing against the Hoovooloo), then you may hate the aesthetics of the case. The addition of USB 3.0 and the hot-swap bay are a big plus for us, especially the USB 3.0. We are not entirely sure why companies are releasing new case designs that do not have USB 3.0 support, especially aimed at the enthusiast market.

The fan controller built into the case lets you control the 200mm fans’ speed and LEDs colors. However, as noted earlier, Thermaltake’s fan management only controls one fan in the front, and one in the top of the case."

This seems like a decent case, but it looks way too plasticky for $160. I would instead take a look at the Corsair Graphite 600T.
