APH Networks, HardwareLOOK, and ThinkComputers have reviewed a few different models of GIGABYTE's Z68 series LGA1155 motherboards.

Let's see what they had to say:

  • APH Networks: Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3P Z68 Motherboard Review:

"The Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P is an excellent mid-range enthusiast motherboard featuring Intel's latest Z68 chipset with awesome build quality, great overclocking capabilities, integrated graphics, and Intel's Smart Response SSD caching technology. The new Touch BIOS Windows program from Gigabyte, however, seems almost like an afterthought."

  • HardwareLOOK: Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3 Motherboard Review:

"As for the Gigabyte D3 being a lower end board, it has actually done well, as you would expect the lower end board to be at the bottom every time, but in fact it on average performed at the middle mark.

As previously said, the board may be a winner because of its great price. The Gigabyte-Z68AP-D3 motherboard is on the market for just £80. So you are getting so much performance for price with this board. For that tiny price, you can really complain about the lack of features on the board. So all in all, to all readers that have been searching for a low costing LGA1155 motherboard that performs to a good standard, then the D3 may be the board to consider, especially if you trying to build your first computer at around £450."

  • ThinkComputers: Gigabyte Z68XP-UD4 Intel Z68 Motherboard Review:

"Gigabyte has a very solid, feature-filled motherboard in the Z68XP-UD4. Starting with the overall design of the board Gigabyte has done a great job with making a very attractive board. The gunmetal and black design really looks great. There was also no connection that was hard to locate or that seemed out of place. I did find that when I installed my first set of memory it was too close to my CPU cooler and I had to actually switch memory to get it to fit correctly. The is the case with many Z68 and P67 motherboard though.

Gigabyte has put quality components together on this board as well. You have the 16 phase power VRM design, efficient driver MOSFETs, and Japanese solid capacitors. "

While these are all very good motherboards, the ASUS P8Z68 series is just better, especially when it comes to the bios department.
