Guru3D and HardwareHeaven have posted a review of the brand new Corsair Carbide 300R mid-tower case.

Let's see what they had to say:

  • Guru3D:

"Overall we think the Carbide 300R is a decent chassis, we do feel it's priced a bit steep in the USA at 89 USD. The EURO prices however seem to be a good chunk better. A quick check here in the Netherlands shows that the 300R can be found for 65 EUR already, and that I feel is a price I'd be comfortable with.

So concluding then, the overall well thought through design, the decent quality and a sufficient enough feature set definitely make this chassis interesting. As such we can recommend the Carbide 300R as a decent value chassis. The competition at this feature level is stiff though and there are many cases out there offering something similar for roughly the same price. But the 300R is definitely something worth recommending and at 65 EUR we feel it's priced fair."

  • HardwareHeaven:

"Starting with the build quality of the Corsair Carbide 300R we have a case which feels solid for its price bracket. More expensive cases are made of thicker material which has less flex in areas such as the doors but there are similarly priced models which feel much more flimsy. The front panel fits well and the buttons feel durable though due to the price point we do lose the metal front found in Corsairs higher specification cases.

On the design front the 300R also scores well. The industrial styling might not be to everyone's tastes but it should blend in well in most environments with the minimal size also assisting with that. For the price level we would have liked to see at least one USB 2.0 connector included for those who opt for cheaper boards without USB 3.0 header but this is a minor issue."

This seems like a wonderful budget-oriented case from Corsair, definitely give it a look if you need to save some money on the case front.
