Futurelooks, Guru3D, Hardware Heaven, and Legit Reviews have previewed/reviewed the upcoming MSI Z77A Series motherboards, which are based on the Intel Z77 chipset and will natively support the upcoming Intel Ivy Bridge processors.
Let's see what they had to say:
- Futurelooks: Futurelooks Previews the NEW MSI Z77A-GD65 Military Class III LGA1155 ATX Motherboard:
"The new Military Class III layout is attractive and has a more efficient layout than its predecessors. There are updates across the range including native SATA6 and USB 3.0 connections as well as updated socket and header placements. While the board offers three PCIE 3.0 expansion slots, it appears the board will only comfortably support 2-way NVIDIA SLI and AMD CrossFireX. The placement of the top two slots will allow better air flow for your video cards while the bottom one will end up covering a number of headers. Keep in mind that the PCIE 3.0 interface provides greater bandwidth only when paired with Intels upcoming 3rd generation processors."

- Hardware Heaven: MSI Z77A-GD55 Motherboard Review:
"Looking first at the build quality of the MSI Z77A-GD55 we have a board which, even at the introduction of a new architecture, sits at the top end of the market. The use of high quality components and proven design aspects from their other enthusiast boards gives us peace of mind and the great features like Click BIOS, M-Flash, status LEDs and voltage read points add to the feel of quality.
On the performance front we get a board which competes with the best Z68 models which are currently available. In many areas we get near identical performance, such as gaming and MSI show their strength through very impressive PCIe performance as well as edging ahead in areas such as SATA."

- Legit Reviews: MSI Z77A-GD65 'Ivy Bridge' Motherboard Review:
"With my little rant being said, the MSI Z77A-GD65 was on the ball for all of our tests. When it came to performance there was very little difference between it and the ASUS P8Z68 in any of our tests. The gaming performance between both of the boards was negligible. Any differences that we saw in the games isn't anything that would be noticeable unless that you are running benchmarks. The CPU intensive tasks did show a slight favor to the ASUS P8Z68-V Pro, but once again not a difference that would be noticeable unless comparing the performance head to head. Even then as we saw it's a very close call and the two systems traded spots.
I suppose the question of the day is; How did the Intel Z77 SuperSpeed USB 3.0 perform? Overall I would have to say it did a fine job."
