NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2GB Launched!

NVIDIA's next-generation high-end GeForce GTX 680 2GB graphics card has just launched, and the reviews are out of this world. This new 28nm GPU core is dubbed GK104, although sharing many architectural concepts of the GF110 core found in the GeForce GTX 580, it has been significantly overhauled. This new part finally features a full 1536 shader processors (a three-fold increase over the GTX 580), 1006Mhz core clock (30% increase over the GTX 580), 1006Mhz shader clock, and 6000Mhz GDDR5 256-bit memory interface. This new core also runs cooler and has much lower power consumption than NVIDIA's previous flagship.
