Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones Q&A

Gamecloud - What can you tell us about the storyline for the new game and how it relates to the first two Prince of Persia titles?
Ben Mattes - The story takes place right after Warrior Within, when the Prince and Kaileena enter Babylon. Contrary to what the Prince expected, the city is ravaged by war and the Prince is struck by the Sands of Time without any form of protection. At the last minute, he is saved from transforming completely into a Sand Monster. But he finds himself corrupted by the Sands. One thing that we got interested in early on was exploring the idea of The Prince being corrupted by the Sands of Time. The franchise has established the Sands as a powerful, destructive force. They infect those who come in contact with them, twisting them physically, mentally, emotionally. So we asked ourselves - what if The Prince finds himself slowly being brought under their influence? How would it affect him?
We believe this story wraps up the Sands trilogy in a very nice way.
