Star Wars: Empire at War Q&A

Tue 2006-02-21 - Posted by Joe "OuTkAsT-1" Topolnisky
The RPGVault has posted an interview with a bunch of the guys behind Petroglyph and LucasArts' upcoming Strategy title, Star Wars: Empire at War. Here's something to chew on:

Jonric: Turning your attention to the Galactic Empire side, what are two or three of its units that appeal to you?
Chris Rubyor - Game Designer, Petroglyph: My first choice would have to be the 2M Repulsor Tank. These units are slower than Rebel T-2B tanks, but have heavy shields and the ability to direct power to their main laser cannon for increased damage. They can also travel over water, which makes them good on temperate worlds with rivers and lakes.
My second unit of choice would be the classic AT-AT. They have the ability to crush light vehicles, deploy stormtroopers on the battlefield, and for some reason, they instill in me movie flash backs of the Hoth battle. They are very susceptible to Rebel speeders, so defiantly keep some ATAA (anti-aircraft) units nearby.
