Darkstar One Preview

Blasting stuff in space, as you'd imagine, is pretty fun. With the stroke of a key, you can bring up a list that details pretty much every possible target in your vicinity, both friendly and hostile. Once you have something in your sights, blasting it into oblivion is simply a matter of hitting the lead reticle enough times to deplete its shields and obliterate its hull. To be frank, the controls felt a bit touchy at first, but they got a little better as I began to get accustomed to them. The game fully supports joysticks too, apparently, and I suspect that using one would have made my experience much better.
