R600XTX Pictures and Benchmarks

The clever guys at VR-Zone have managed to obtain some information about the highly anticipated AMD R600XTX (dubbed the Radeon X2900XTX). A quick recap of the specs:

12 layer card, 9.5" in length

Max TDP of 240W

800Mhz core on 80nm process technology (rumoured to be on 65nm)

1GB of GDDR4 on a 512bit memory interface

Here are the initial benchmark figures with a Core 2 Extreme at 2.93Ghz on an Intel 975X based motherboard, the 8800GTX is clocked at 800Mhz on the core:

3DMark06 @ 1600 x 1200

8800GTX = 95xx

R600XTX = 97xx

Of course these are just preliminary numbers, you can expect changes in the actual figures when the cards are actually out and the drivers better optimised. Full details and pictures of the card can be found here.
