Antec P182 Case Review

Tue 2007-05-15 - Posted by Patrick "MACMAC" MacMillan
Antec’s highly popular P180 was sleek and well-built, but it suffered from some functionality issues due to poor cable management. Not one to sit on their laurels, Antec decided to fix the problems, and reworked the case to create a brand new product, the P182. Hardware Logic has tested this new Antec P182 to see whether it is truly an improvement over its predecessor.

Let’s see what hey had to say:

“If your first priority for your new build is noise management, the Antec P182 deserves consideration. It remains a solid choice with some clever cable routing options and speed adjustable fans, setting the bar for low noise enclosures. And if you pick up the P182SE with a reflective mirror finish and painted interior, you'll have jaw-dropping looks to boot. But those looking for a bang/buck enclosure, more attention to detail, or high cooling prowess can do better in the mid-tower arena.”

Overall, a terrific case has been made even better. However, there are still some issues. Most notably, the need to remove the upper HDD cage to install long video cards, and the fact that a SLI/Crossfire configuration can hinder cable routing, depending on the motherboard.

If these aren’t deal-breakers, and the case is within your price range, click here for the full article.
