Cooler Master Cosmos 1000 Case Review

Thu 2007-08-30 - Posted by Patrick "MACMAC" MacMillan
While Cooler Master may now be known for their cooling solutions and power supplies, the company’s claim to fame has always been its computer cases. Bit-Tech has just posted a review of the Cooler Master Cosmos 1000 case.

Here’s what they had to say:

“All in all, the Cosmos is a solidly built and attractive case which performs well enough in heat testing and runs near silently. This alone puts it high in the upper echelons of PC cases, but it’s price point is a little awkward and shaving just a little off the cost would instantly make it a much more attractive case. Pound signs aside though, the Cosmos is a worthy addition to the Cooler Master range and a good buy for anyone who can spare the dough.”

Looks aside, this is definitely one of the best cases on the market. In particular, the six internal aluminium hard drive caddies are an awesome feature, and will undoubtedly be a huge selling point. While I’m not a huge fan of the external design, this a matter of personal preference. My only issue with this product is its price, which is about 25% more expensive than its competitors. Nevertheless, I suspect many people will gladly pay the premium for this new über case.
