Vvikoo GeForce 8800GT Max 1GB GDDR3 Review

Tue 2008-02-05 - Posted by Patrick "MACMAC" MacMillan
CPU3D has just reviewed the Vvikoo GeForce 8800GT Max, which features 1GB of GDDR3 memory.

Here’s what they had to say:

“The overall performance of the Vvikoo Geforce 8800GT Max, was as expected from a graphics card that uses the Geforce G92 GPU at default clock speeds. It compared very well against the Asus EN8800GT, but performed a little below par against the MSI NX8800GT Zilent and the XFX 8800GT XXX ... that's not surprising since these two uses an overclocked GPU. The extra 1Gb of DDR3 memory didn't really do anything to improve performance, and as I said before ... the extra memory only comes into play when you run a resolution of 1920x1600 or higher, and upto 2560x1600. But unexpectedly, the scores for Crysis was excellent with the Vvikoo coming out on top.”

With its 1GB GDDR3, distinctive purple PCB, and Zalman VF1000 VGA cooler, Vvikoo’s 8800GT Max is impressive. However, availability appears to be an issue since I could not find it for sale at any online retailer.
