Thermaltake M9 Case Review

Fri 2008-04-04 - Posted by Patrick "MACMAC" MacMillan
Hardware Secrets has posted a review of the mid-tower Thermaltake M9 case.

Here’s an excerpt:

“This is a good mid-tower case for the mainstream user, built with cooling in mind. All covers on the front panel are meshed, it features two 120-mm fans (one on the rear and one on the front, attached to the hard disk drive cage) and a side duct. The exorbitant number of 5 ¼” bays – nine – makes us believe that this case is particularly targeted to users that want to install a water-cooling solution based on 5 ¼” bays, like BigWater 780e and BigWater 760i, also from Thermaltake.”

The M9 is a decent case, however it doesn't provide the same Bang for the Buck as the new Cooler Master Centurion 590. The Centurion distinguishes itself from the M9 with front FireWire & e-SATA ports, room for eight 120MM fans, rear water cooling retaining holes, and a cheaper price. What's not to like?
