ASUS Reveals New Energy-Efficient Motherboards
ASUS has just announced that it will be releasing a new line of energy-efficient motherboards, the
P5Q series.
Here’s what they had to say:
“In celebration of Earth Day 2008, ASUS®, worldwide leader in component and notebook design and manufacturing, today previewed the P5Q series of motherboards equipped with the exclusive ASUS EPU (Energy Processing Unit). This energy-conserving series is based on the upcoming Intel® P45 chipset, and features full support for the latest Intel® processors and memory technologies. Thanks to the inclusion of the exclusive ASUS EPU, the P5Q series clams the leadership position as the most energy efficient motherboard on the market.”
ASUS claims that the P5Q series will be the
industry's most energy-efficient motherboards, so it will be interesting to see how it compares to Gigabyte’s Dynamic Energy Saver (D.E.S) technology, which has been shown to save 30-40 watts on average. Bring on the reviews!
