Cooler Master Hyper Z600 Passive CPU Cooler Review

Fri 2008-05-09 - Posted by Patrick "MACMAC" MacMillan
CPU3D has just reviewed the Cooler Master Hyper Z600 passive CPU cooler.

Let’s see what they had to say:

“I have to congratulate Coolermaster for producing a passive CPU cooler that not only offers very good cooling performance, but also the fact that it can be used for overclocking when you install additional fans. Most passive coolers on the market are very good when the CPU is at default voltage. However, when you increase the voltages during overclocking ... then it's a completely different story. Temperatures usually rocket, and this is where a fan is required. The temperatures from our tests might not look impressive you ... but remember, this cooler is totally silent, of course it has no fans!”

Cooler Master definitely did a great job with this product, since it’s probably the best passive CPU cooler on the market. Judging by the results, it should easily outperform its closest rivals like the ASUS Triton 75 and ZEROtherm BTF95.
