Gigabyte EP45-DS4 Motherboard Preview

Sun 2008-05-11 - Posted by Patrick "MACMAC" MacMillan
Gigabyte recently had their Spring Break & Plug-Fest 2008 event, which was held to promote their upcoming Intel P45 Express-based motherboards. HardwareZone was at the event, and has posted a first look at the Gigabyte EP45-DS4 motherboard.

Here’s an excerpt:

“Today, we share with you our pictorial preview of the mid-range Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS4 motherboard. Using the Intel P45 and ICH10R combination, this board probably has more than adequate features for even the enthusiasts. The board has dual Gigabit LAN ports and are further complemented by the software based teaming function that can turbo charge your overall throughput.”

If you are getting Déjà Vu, don’t worry, because this model does look pretty much identical to the previous GA-EP35-DS4. However, what really matters is what’s under that cooling system, namely the P45 Express northbridge and ICH10R southbridge chipsets. If you haven't done so already, you may be interested in checking out the Gigabyte's other upcoming models, the GA-P45-DS5 and GA-EP45 Extreme.
