In Win Metal Suit GD Case Review

Mon 2008-05-12 - Posted by Patrick "MACMAC" MacMillan
In Win is best known for their themed cases, such as the F430 and the B2 Stealth Bomber. Continuing that trend, ComputerShopper has posted a brief review of the In Win Metal Suit GD case, which has been inspired by Gundam.

Here’s what they had to say:

“Overall, the Metal GD is an impressive chassis, offering features usually found on cases that cost much more than its modest $135 price. Its tool-less design is one of the best we've seen, and we appreciate the emphasis on quiet cooling, too. We'd like a different layout of front USB ports, as well as the option to turn off the blue LEDs, but aside from those small flaws, the Metal GD leaves very little to gripe about.”

I could see why the Metal Suit GD could be appealing to some, due to its distinctive look, tool-less design, and solid cooling performance. However, unless you really love the exterior design, I am not convinced that it is worth $135-155. For that price, you can find higher quality cases like the Antec P180 and Lian Li PC-60 PLUS II.
